The Southwest Coordinator is Professor Oyegbami Ajoke, a professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development at the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training, Obafemi Awolowo University, Moor Plantation Ibadan. She has been involved in agricultural extension, technology transfer, training capacity building of farmers, including youth and women for over two decades. Her research focuses on agricultural extension/technology dissemination, women and youth development.
She has participated in various projects such as West African Agricultural Productivity Program (WAAPP), , Department for International Development (DFID) on Urban Agriculture, United State Alumni Engagement (USAE) innovation on countering oil spill, Korea Africa: Food and Agricultural Cooperation (KAFACI), Africa Plant Nutrition (APNI), Integrated Nitrogen Studies in Africa (INSA). She also participated in SASAKAWA Africa in the development of training curriculum for agriculture in Southwest Nigeria to mention few
She was a visiting scientist to New Castle University United Kingdom for 4 weeks on Urban Agriculture, and also a visiting Social Scientist to University of TOULOUSE, France for two months (1st May – 30th June, 2023) through the EU H2020, Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) MSCA-RISE INSA on “Integrated Nitrogen Studies in Africa (INSA)” with focus on Social aspect of Nitrogen.
She was the team leader for Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority (LASADA) where she conducted Monthly Technology Review Meetings (MTRM) for 3 years (2016 — 2019), Acting Head of Kenaf and Jute Program, the Zonal Coordinator for REFILS (Research-Extension-Farmers-Input Linkage System) in Southwest Nigeria (2022-2025). She is currently the coordinator (in I.A.R&T) of an international project – Midgal/Galilio on development of FirmHive App to monitor farm activities of farmers.
She is a member of Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON), Nigerian Forum for Agricultural Extension and Advisory Services (NIFASS). Rural Sociological Association of Nigeria (RUSAN), and Society for Fibre Crop Development.
The Different State Coordinators are as follows:

AJAYI, Adedayo Olufemi is a Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology and Dean, Faculty of Agriculture. He is a former Visiting Professor at the University of Eswatini and a full Professor at the Obafemi Awolowo University, where he earned his B.Agric., M.Sc., and PhD. He holds an international postgraduate certificate in sustainable development, is a CODESRIA laureate, and a recipient of several international fellowships. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Ife Journal of Agriculture. ORCID: 0000-0002-8735-9731.

Adebisi-Adelani Oluyemisi (PhD) is an Agricultural Extension and Rural Development specialist with over 20 years of research experience at the National Horticultural Research Institute. She has over 80 publications and is a recognized advocate for climate change, gender inclusion, youth empowerment, and rural livelihoods, as well as the founder of the Spinsters and Young Women Initiatives.

Prof. Tajudeen Oyekunle Amoo Banmeke (PhD) is a Professor of Agricultural Communication and Development Issues at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. With over 22 years of post-PhD experience, he has published more than 70 scholarly articles and supervised numerous postgraduate students. He earned his degrees from the University of Ibadan and has held key academic leadership positions within the university system.

Professor Oluwatosin Fasina is a seasoned scholar in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development with over 21 years of experience. He holds a PhD from the University of Ibadan and lectures at the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He has published over 75 peer-reviewed articles and is widely engaged in research, consultancy, and policy dialogue on agricultural innovation and sustainable rural development.

Prof. Olasimbo Motunrayo Apata is a Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development who earned her BSc (1998), MSc (2000), and PhD (2006) from the University of Ibadan. She joined the Ekiti State University in 2001 and rose to Professor in 2016, holding several academic leadership roles and sabbatical appointments, including at Adekunle Ajasin University.

Elliot O. Faminu is an agricultural strategist and extension specialist with strong expertise in fisheries management and Nigeria’s Blue Economy, having served in key roles at the Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority and as a member of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria. He is also active in agribusiness mentorship and ecosystem sustainability initiatives, including volunteering with the FATE Foundation.
